Dr. Haitham Hegab is a Gastroenterologist and Internist at Wellness One Day Surgical Center. He got his post-graduate degree in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine from Cairo University, Egypt in 2003 in addition of European Specialty in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in 2018 from the Royal College of Physicians. He completed colonoscopy training from the University of Hull, UK. He is a member of the American Gastroenterology Association, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, the Egyptian Society of Hepatology, Gastroenterology, and Infectious Diseases. Dr. Hegab is licensed in Egypt as Consultant Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine and the UAE as Specialist Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.

Spanning more than two decades in hepatology, gastroenterology and internal diseases, Dr. Hegab gained in-depth knowledge of these fields. With experience in hospitals and private clinics, Dr. Hegab gained seven years of post-specialization experience in Egypt. On coming to the UAE in 2010, he worked as specialist in gastroenterology, hepatology and internal medicine at hospitals including Mediclinic Al Noor Hospital, Emirates French Hospital, Danat al Emarat Hospital, and Medical Park Consultant One Day Surgery before joining Wellness One Day Surgical Center in 2018. His field of interest is in providing treatment for major internal diseases with a sub-specialist interest in gastroenterology and hepatology. He is skilled at endoscopy and ultrasonography.
